Our Policy & Commitment
At F.A. Davis, we are committed to accessibility, diversity, and inclusion. As part of that commitment, we are making efforts to ensure that F.A. Davis’s digital properties are accessible to all individuals, regardless of ability. In doing so, F.A. Davis has a goal to comply with applicable accessibility standards included in the W3C’s WCAG 2.1 Levels A and AA guidelines.
Digital Accessibility Statement
We are working to ensure our websites and online services are accessible for all and are committed to following the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and other applicable web accessibility laws.
To accomplish this, we have partnered with Level Access to leverage their digital accessibility platform and 25 years of experience to achieve and sustain conformance to accessibility standards. Their digital accessibility platform is used to evaluate our digital properties in accordance with best practices and is supported by a diverse team of accessibility professionals, including users with disabilities.
Through this partnership, F.A Davis continues to develop our digital accessibility program and capabilities so that we are designing, developing, and testing our websites and online services for conformance to accessibility standards.
Contact
We want to hear from you. If you would like further information about F.A. Davis’s accessibility efforts, have other accessibility questions or feedback, or encounter accessibility barriers on our digital properties, please contact: accessibility@fadavis.com.
PDF Requests
F.A. Davis provides PDF files for schools to provide to students who have a verified disability on file with the college and have purchased a copy of the book. Requests for digital files for disabled students must be made by the disability coordinator, or the person fulfilling that role for the school. We cannot process requests directly from students.
To request an electronic text for a student with a verified disability, please complete and submit this form. You will receive an email with instructions for accessing the requested text within seven business days.
F.A. Davis also encourages the use of AccessText for such requests. AccessText is a membership exchange network that facilitates and supports the nationwide delivery of alternative textbooks to Higher Education students. It enables the publisher to provide material directly to the disability services provider in a shorter amount of time than with the traditional method. Visit www.accesstext.org for more information.
For additional information or inquiries about pending requests, please contact accessibility@fadavis.com.
