Clinical Scenario
Chapter 10, Scenario 04

Review the clinical scenario presented and respond to questions.

You are managing an urgent care center. Monica is a 48-year-old woman who was rushed to the center by her significant other after awakening this morning with left-sided facial paralysis. She owns a fashion boutique, is active in the community, goes to the gym three times a week, and has a dinner party planned for this evening. She expresses concern about the prescription for prednisone for the next week because she has been on a diet and has just lost 10 pounds. Plan for her immediate learning needs after the diagnosis of Bell's palsy and referral to a neurologist, including protection, exercise, and body image.
